For aspiring Steiner Teachers, Parents and Carers of young children
As a leader in contemporary Steiner teacher training in Australia, Sydney Rudolf Steiner College has been preparing teachers for a fulfilling career in Steiner education since 1980 with well-established and comprehensive courses that are guided by highly experienced local and international tutors.
Offering a mix of Online learning and in-person Seminars, our Early Childhood teaching programs are endorsed both in Australia (SEA and SECA) and internationally (IASWECE) and support the transition from mainstream into Steiner education.
In the annual Early Childhood Foundation course we explore Anthroposophy, Life Phases, Child Development and engage in artistic activities and craft. This is a very balanced curriculum of philosophy and creative activities that provide a comprehensive foundation for developing an understanding of Rudolf Steiner’s teachings.
Focussed early childhood aspects include the importance of play for the child, storytelling and our own inner development. Artistic elements involve watercolour painting, clay modelling and eurythmy. These courses are for all interested and, in particular, parents, carers and aspiring early childhood teachers.
The annual Foundation course is delivered online via weekly webinars as well as in-person at the twice-yearly seminars in Sydney and at participating Teacher Training Hubs.
